Conditions of Booking

To secure a telephone, postal or email booking we require a deposit of £50.00 (for one week) or £100.00 (for two weeks). This can be paid by cheque or by internet banking. The account to be paid by internet is ‘Rothbury Holiday Cottages’, sort code 20-58-17, account no. 70076201 and please use your surname as a ‘reference’; please then email us to let us know that you have paid this way and we can then issue you with a receipt.

The booking will be held for up to 5 working days pending receipt of the deposit and then an acknowledgement letter confirming dates and receipt of the deposit will be sent to you.

Final payment of the balance for your holiday is due a minimum of one month before your holiday start date. An acknowledgement letter confirming receipt of the balance and giving you details regarding access and keys will be sent to you once your payment has been received.

If the booking is made less than one month before your holiday start date the full holiday charge should be payable prior to the issue of your booking confirmation.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of you having to cancel your booking you should please let us know as soon as possible in writing or by email so that we can try to re-let the property.

If we are successful in re-letting the property for the whole of the period of your booking we will refund the whole of your holiday cost minus a handling charge of £20.00.

If we can only re-let the property for a proportion of the period of your booking we shall refund the monies that relate to that portion only less the same handling charge.

If we are unable to re-let the property for the period of your booking all monies paid by you whether by deposit or final payment will not be refunded unless there are extenuating circumstances.

The rental for the properties includes all bed linen, tea towels, heating and electricity (towels are available at an additional charge of £5.00 per person).

Arrival / Departure Times

Please arrive after 3pm on your arrival date and vacate the property by 10.00am on your day of departure unless a prior arrangement has been agreed.

The properties may be occupied by the number of people for which they are advertised. We are entitled to ask you to leave if this condition is broken. Pets are allowed by arrangement.

Occupancy

For the benefit of future guests using the properties we please ask you not to smoke at all inside them.

We, or our representatives, should be allowed access to the properties at any mutually convenient time during your stay for maintenance purposes.

Please try to keep the properties and all furniture, fixtures, fittings and equipment in the same state of repair and general cleanliness as found at the start of the holiday. Breakages can happen and we would ask you to report any to us or damage to or in the property before you leave the cottage.

All information contained in our brochure and on our website is believed to be accurate and correct. In the event of a change in circumstances regarding them we will endeavour to inform you prior to your holiday at which time you would have the opportunity to review your booking. Thank you.
